Polls about religion and faith are premised on the idea that you need to be standing in a building or belong to a sect. That's far too limiting.

Another day, another new poll concluding that the importance of religion in Americans’ daily lives is on the wane.

Just 16% of respondents to a recent survey by the Public Religion Research Institute said religion is the most important thing in their lives — down from 20% a decade ago, NPR reported last month.
